Astra Lost in Space (Kanata no Asutora) is a Japanese manga series by Kenta Shinohara. The manga is published in English by Viz Media. An anime television series adaptation by Lerche aired from July 3 to September 18, 2019. Its five volumes have been released in Japan, North America, and the United Kingdom; its fifth and final volume was released in English on December 4, 2018. It won the 2019 Manga Taisho Prize and was nominated for the 23rd Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize.
Plot
It is about Space Adventure in which group of students get lost in space and was send by Astra Planet. The students were from Caird High School. They were Send to Planet name McPa for their planetary camp. Soon after group arrives Student encounter a Warmhole or sphere comes from mysterious place in a form of light. But after that students reliaze that sphere is threat to them but it was late. Because sphere attack them and transport into Space in nowhere. After they got struck in space around unknown planet and they discover an abandon Space craft floating in orbit. They thought that our old ship got destroyed in space so this ship can help me in take back at home. To do this they need to cross 5,012 light year to go back to their planet which is very far away. And they don’t have much supplies food or resources to get back. So they planned they will go to near planet which will have supplies food and after that slowly- slowly they will get near to their planet. But saying these things was easy part for success in mission they need to work as a team to reach their goal. After they share bond and they name that old ship Astra. And they are ready to start their journey.
My Personal Thoughts
I think this anime is good but sad thing is this anime ends in this season only concept was good and story line was ok and animation quality was also good. Character of Kanata (lead hero) is shown brave and bold in this anime. And he is very humble and sweet friend and a good captain and other character are also shown good. In this anime all character development is done very nicely. And this anime shows friendship matters everything even whatever happened never leave your friends. After long time finally a space anime came u may remember a boy name Astra boy anime quite popular sound like similar. But both of these anime are different prospective and quality. I can say we cant compare both of anime. Astra in Space is also a survivor type of anime how to stay calm after so many shocks. It makes learn how to use your brain in this situation and stay alive. Their are many types of survivor anime which tells how to be strong and stay alive. I can say this anime is good but the bad part for you people this season ends in 1 part only. Lets hope may be their would be a next season with same people or different story and it make me remember of anime DARLING IN FRANX which dressing sense quite same and that also ends in 1 season. But DARLING IN FRANX will be having a season 2 with different story because we got a hint by director. Although anime still makes us laugh, sad, happy, emotional, and many more this series contain all aspects of emotions in it.
